WIRIS, Maths Tools for Virtual Learning Environments

During the event, we will discuss the use of WIRIS tools and the ways teachers and students can access them through public education portals.

Wednesday, September 1st 2010 we will meet in the LearnCentral public Elluminate room at 6:30pm Pacific - 9:30pm Eastern time. WorldClock for your time zone.


To join:
  • Follow this link: http://tinyurl.com/math20event
  • Click "OK" and "Accept" several times as your browser installs the software. When you see Elluminate Session Log-In, enter your name and click the "Login" button
  • You will find yourself in a virtual room. An organizer will be there to greet you, starting about half an hour before the event.
If this is your first Elluminate event, consider coming a few minutes earlier to check out the technology. The room opens half an hour before the event.

Event Host

Ramon_Eixarch.pngRamon Eixarch co-founded Maths for More in 1999. The company is responsible for WIRIS maths tools. He was a member of the initial group of programmers of the company's WIRIS CAS product. Ramon is responsible for the company Marketing and Sales department. Since 2002 he holds the position of its Managing Director.

Ramon received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at the Technical University of Catalonia (Barcelona Tech).
